Description

The YS00050TU is a durable, clear-PVC Y-strainer designed for harsh environments and tight installations. Its true-union threaded design allows you to service the inline without cutting pipes. The clear PVC body resists chemical damage while giving you visual confirmation of clogging. Inside, the 1/32″ perforated screen captures debris upstream of downstream components. The FPM O-ring ensures a consistent, leak-resistant seal through maintenance cycles. With a 150 psi non-shock rating, it performs reliably in many pool, spa, and water system applications.

Pro Tip

Install true-union ball valves on both sides for quick isolation. Check through the clear housing—clean before performance degrades. Always disassemble using the union nut, not by twisting the pipe section.

Installation Tips

Ensure the flow direction arrow lines up with your system. Use appropriate PTFE or compatible thread sealant on NPT threads. Avoid overtightening union nuts (which can damage the O-ring). In vertical installs, orient the strainer cap downward so debris drops into the chamber instead of blocking the screen inlet.
