About The Product

The scrubber kit (360239) is a replacement part that is made by Pentair. Making them genuine OEM products. This scrubber was designed to add another level of cleaning power to the Racer that a lot of other cleaners on the market simply do not offer. While the cleaner makes its way around sucking up dirt and debris, there can be a level of fine dirt and algae still clinging to the surface, so with the rubber bristles on the scrubber ends it is able to lift this debris off of it so that way the cleaner can then remove it from the pool and disperses it into the debris bag.

This kit comes with the scrubber (black) as well as a mounting bracket (dark blue) and a screw to attach the mounting bracket to the cleaner along with the scrubber to the front side of the Racer. The parts that are sold with this kit are NOT sold separately and can only be replaced with the purchase of this Kit. when installing the screw for the mounting bracket we do not recommend using a drill as you can over-torque it which can cause damage to the bracket as well as the other surrounding plastic parts.

How To Remove and Install

The first thing to do is flip the cleaner over and look for the screw next to the scrubber. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver to get the screw out. Once you get the screw out, you can go ahead and grab the scrubber and lift that out. Be careful when listing it out because the plastic piece the screw was in will also come off and you do not want to lose that. When you take out the old scrubber you will see that there is nothing else underneath it so you do not have to take anything else off or replace it. To replace the new scrubber you will take the new one and put it right where the old one used to be. You will need to make sure that it doesn't get out in the wrong way. The side with the metal piece will feed into the gear assembly and the side with the plastic will be sitting right next to where the screw goes. Now you will put the blue plastic piece on and use the screwdriver to screw it back in. It is important that you only use a screwdriver and not a drill because you do not want to risk breaking the plastic part of the cleaner.
