About The Pentair Racer Pressure Side Cleaner Front Grill Kit

The Pentair Racer Pressure Side Cleaner Front Grill Kit (360233) is a replacement part made by Pentair. They use the same high-grade materials that were used to make the original factory parts. Making them genuine OEM products. The front grill was designed for the purpose of being a protective cover from any outside influence on the cleaner’s internal parts, but also has a venturi jet positioned on its front side which helps stir up any dirt or debris that may be in its path. Most importantly it helps the cleaner with its backup movement so that way it can get itself out of any trouble areas or paths in which it cannot continue forward. This part is gray to match the color of the cleaner while having little slotted openings across it so that way water can move through it freely which actually helps the cleaner with its maneuverability, without these holes, it would potentially slow the cleaner and the cleaning process down.

How To Remove and Replace The Front Grill Thrust

Before removing the front grill thrust you will need to strip the cleaner down. You can remove this without having to strip the cleaner, stripping the cleaner will ensure that none of the pieces will crack during the process. The first thing you need to do is remove the timer valve and the grill thrust will be attached to it. When you flip the timer valve over you will see the full grill thrust. You will need a small flathead screwdriver and this will help to get the inlet off. The thrust will come off as one full solid piece. There is no extra piece you should need and in the end, there will even be a little o-ring to help keep everything nice and tight in place. To replace the thrust you will just clip it back in.
