About The Product

The rear thrust jet hose kit (360257) is a replacement part that is made by Pentair and uses the same high-grade materials that were used to make the original factory parts. Making them genuine OEM parts that all our customers can trust. This kit was designed for the rear thrust jet system and its purpose is to help the cleaner with its maneuverability, it does this by shooting high-pressure water out of the back of the cleaner (via the water management system) helping to propel it around the surfaces of the pool including the walls. This part is gray and is held onto the WMS and thrust jet via hose clamps that are NOT sold separately, and can only be purchased with this kit. it is made from a durable yet soft rubber/plastic composite that allows itself to expand to the high-pressure water that passes through it. This kit also comes with the thrust jet as well as the 5/8” screws needed to attach it to the Racer.

How To Remove and Replace

Before you start trying to remove the rear thrust jet, you will need to strip the cleaner down a little bit. This will help you to get to the part easier and do not have to deal with the side panels or any extra parts that will get in your way and cause difficulties. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver or a flathead screwdriver in order to help get the clips off. All you are going to do is gently get in between and gently lift the clip off the timer valve. Now you will want to manually feed the hose back down through the chassis. On the back where the thrust jet is, you will do the same thing to remove the hose. To replace that you will feed the new one through exactly how you removed it and just clip it back in. To remove the thrust jet you will need to remove the two screws that are keeping the jets in place. Now you should be able to pull it right out sometimes it will just fall out. To replace it, all you need to do is screw it back in.
