Polaris 360 Pressure Cleaner: What's in the Box?

Welcome to another Terrific Tuesday at ePoolSupply. Each week we like to discuss helpful tips and tricks regarding the pool industry. This week we will be discussing the Polaris 360 Pressure Side Pool Cleaner and the items included in the product packaging. Owning a pool cleaner can be quite a confusing adventure but it helps to have someone there by your side guiding you through each step of the process. Let's dive in!

Pool Cleaner Parts

The Polaris 360 Pressure Cleaner features a one-and-a-half inch hose that connects to a side wall connection or quick disconnect utilizing the main filtration system of the pool and not that of a booster pump. In terms of size, the 360 is smaller than most Pressure Side cleaner systems. The debris bag features a Velcro system for easy disposal and connects directly to the cleaner and inch-and-a-half hose for stability.

This cleaner comes standard with the C10 wheel set however, an upgrade to the optional Maxx Trax wheel kit for additional grip might be an attractive upgrade for those looking for a little more performance out of the cleaner. The Maxx Trax uses suction cups along the wheels for a sturdier grip along the walls of the pool allowing for extensive cleaning on surfaces that may be more slippery like tile or all fiberglass pools. Because of the large opening on the bottom, the cleaner is able to handle large debris such as rocks and leaves with ease. A Venturi system is utilized with three standalone nozzles to force debris into the bottom of the cleaner making for a thoroughly cleaned pool and less manual cleaning.

This Pressure Cleaner comes standard with a thirty foot one-and-a-half inch hose. The hose set features a pressure relief back-up valve in order to prevent the cleaner from getting stuck. A small gear kit rotates after detecting the cleaner hasn’t moved, forcing a small water jet to lift the cleaner which helps clear the step, drain, or obstruction.

Pool Cleaner Maintenance

The hose is also sectional allowing the addition and removal of lengths of hose without having to cut or ream making for easy DIY installation and maintenance when replacement is needed. The cleaner is supported with both a tune up kit and a rebuild kit. The tune up kit features everything needed for basic yearly maintenance, while the rebuild kit is essentially everything needed to rebuild the entire cleaner.
