Pentair IntelliCenter Wireless Remote Pool Control System - What's In The Box

Welcome, ePoolSupply supporters! For today's blog, I will be going over what comes in the box for the Pentair IntelliCenter wireless remote pool control system. I will be going over the product as well. At the bottom of the blog, I have attached a YouTube video our pool professional has made to show you what exactly comes in the box and to give you some useful tips to help you.

About the Product

This can be only used with the newer IntelliCenter's. The color touch screen allows easy viewing for full system control.  Communication with this system can be done on a wide range of devices and platforms. Many important services, programming, and monitoring tasks can be done without an on-location service call. Convenient control from inside and outside the home via outdoor and indoor control panels and wireless remotes. Remote control from anywhere: Android and iOS devices, Web browsers on Mac and PC computers, and voice command with smart speaker devices like Amazon Echo. Interfaces with iOS, and Android mobile devices, Apple Watch, and smart speakers, enabling owners to check their pool status remotely. The Wireless Remote provides the same functionality as the IntelliCenter Control System Indoor and Outdoor Control Panel. The operating range of the Wireless Remote is approximately 300 ft. from the wireless transceiver antenna (line of sight) which is typically located near the load center. The optimum wireless transmit and receive range may be affected by physical obstructions, (especially those containing metal), weather conditions, and geographical features. The Wireless Remote LCD screen can be sensitive to sunlight. When used outside, keep the remote covered or in a shaded area.  Prolonged exposure to sunlight may permanently damage the unit. The Wireless Remote is water resistant and can be exposed to temporary splashing or wet hands. However, the controller is not intended to be submersed.  Remove the unit immediately if it is dropped in the water or exposed to rain. Store the unit indoors in a dry environment. Be sure the gold charging contacts are dry before charging.

What Comes In The Box?

When you open the box, one of the first things you will pull out is the charging cradle then you will see the brand-new antenna. Now you should see the back plates, cable, and the plug-in for the charging cradle. You will also see the mounting screws for the back of the panel as well as the antenna. You will also see some paperwork and then at the very bottom, you will see the remote. Most of the products will be packaged or heat-sealed. On the back of the remote, you will see gold pins and this will line up with the chargers so when you are done using the remote you can set it on the charger.  Before you hook up and connect your remote, it is best to make sure your whole system is up to date then plug and play. When looking at the paperwork you will see a bright piece of paper and this will say read first. It will give you updates and make sure everything is in order before you set everything up. They also give you a user guide information and the warranty card. It is very important to fill out this warranty card, just follow the steps because you never know what may happen.
