What's in the Box - Pentair IC60 Salt Chlorinator Generator

Hello there again fellow ePoolSupply supporters! Today I wanted to talk to you guys about Pentairs IC60 salt chlorinator generator and what comes in the box. The IC60 is made to work with pools of up to 60,000 gallons. If you have a big pool and want to reduce the use of chemicals leaving you with softer and cleaner water, then keep on reading. We are going to run through with you all what you will see in the box when you first open it. Keep reading to find out what comes included!

How does it work?

The intellichlor salt chlorine generator uses common table salt to produce the chlorine for your pool. It uses a process known as electrolysis to produce chlorine gas which immediately dissolves into a solution to create hypochlorite and hypochlorous. Hypochlorite and hypochlorous kill bacteria, oxidize organic material, and kill algae, then revert to salt. The intellichlor salt chlorine generator reuses the salt and the process starts over again. It is best if you use salt that is evaporated, granulated, food quality, non-iodized salt with no additives.  Always check your salt levels before adding salt to your pool. This would eliminate the need to buy and handle chemicals. That means there would be no more spills, odor, stinging eyes, or irritated skin.

What comes in the box?

When you first open the box, it gives you a template with arrows from side to side showing you the size of the pipe you will need to cut and attach the IC60. The next thing you will see is the warranty card it is very important you take a look at that. It is really easy to file for your warranty, it is all digital now and you just read the prompts and answer the questions. The next thing you will see is an orange piece of paper that will give you important installation information. It is highly recommended to read that first before you start cutting the pipes. The next thing you will see in the box is the user manual. The manual will have all your installation instructions, troubleshooting tips, and how the IC60 works. If you look in the box you will also see a plastic bag and it will include two unions and those will get plumbed on both sides of the salt cell. The last thing in the box will be the salt cell. The salt cell will be wrapped on the side with cardboard so it is protected on all sides. On the salt cell, you will find a large cord and that will be what hooks up to the power supply. When looking at the salt cell you will also see on both sides it has the threads for the unions so it screws on easily. On the top, you will see all the status lights; in the manual, it will tell you how to identify everything and how to read everything so it is working properly.

In conclusion, having the Pentair intellichlor salt chlorine generator will help reduce the need of buying chlorine. It is also low maintenance and easy to use. It is one of the most inexpensive and best cleaning products to use. Check out our Youtube video of What’s in the box to get more information and see if it would be the right fit for you.
