What is included with 4-9-556?

One replacement head with the bonded, non-removable high-flow nozzle. Collar and tool sold separately.

Is the nozzle removable?

No. The high-flow nozzle supplied in this head is bonded in place. Do not remove it or substitute a standard nozzle insert.

Will it fit a different Caretaker connection?

Match the part number and installed fitting. Bayonet and legacy threaded heads use different attachments; do not select a head only by color or the age of the pool.

How is this head removed?

Stop the pump, prevent an automatic restart and let the head retract fully before using the proper head tool. Caretaker bayonet heads release counterclockwise and lock back into the collar clockwise. Follow the complete manufacturer procedure and do not force damaged components.

What should I check if cleaning is poor?

Use the owner manual to inspect the head, nozzle, collar and flow to the affected zone. A problem involving several heads may be elsewhere in the system. Have a qualified pool professional handle service beyond routine owner maintenance.

I installed 6 of these units. I had to make a few adjustments to my valve settings and pump flow rates to get the heads to actuate properly and rotate during cleaning.

Exactly as described, wish I'd bought more of them

No more dead zones

I just replace 2 high flow pop ups in a 19 yr old pebble tech pool. Popped them in with the metal pop up tool and no more dead zones! Both pop up’s rotate completely again. Ordered them online and they shipped in less than 24hrs. Great service!
