Description

The ARG Air Relief Valve ARHDEX0 is a straightforward replacement for aging Hayward air vents stamped or listed as DEX2400S. Over time, the OEM valve can become difficult to turn, seep around the stem, or stop venting properly. That leaves air pockets trapped in the filter tank, which can make the system noisy, unstable, and harder to service safely.

Replacing that old vent with a fresh ARHDEX0 restores normal operation at the filter's top port. You open the valve to purge air when the pump starts, wait until you see a solid, air-free stream of water, then close it and let the filter run. It’s a small part, but it’s critical for both comfort and safety whenever you’re working on or restarting the system.
