Description

The ARG CIV02 CleanPro Chlorinator Lid O-Ring is a dedicated replacement gasket for the lid on ARG CleanPro tablet chlorinators. The lid and O-ring take constant abuse from UV, pressure cycling and aggressive chlorinated air. As the original O-ring ages, it flattens out, develops cracks or hardens to the point where it no longer compresses properly. The result is a lid that never quite seals and a chlorinator that seeps or smells.

Installing a new CIV02 O-ring restores a clean, compliant sealing surface so the lid can be snugged down by hand and hold its seal without over-tightening. Combined with a good lid, this gasket helps the feeder maintain proper internal pressure and flow so your chlorination stays more consistent and the equipment pad stays cleaner and safer.

Pro Tip

Treat the O-ring like a wear part. Any time the lid is yellowed, crazed or hard to turn, replace the O-ring and strongly consider replacing the lid (CIV01) at the same time. Always depressurize the system and vent trapped gas before opening a chlorinator, and use a pool-safe lubricant on the new O-ring to prevent pinching and tearing.

Installation Tips

Turn off the pump and fully relieve system pressure before opening the chlorinator. Use isolation valves to shut off flow and let trapped gas vent before removing the lid. Remove the old O-ring and clean the lid groove and mating surface, then lightly coat the new CIV02 O-ring with a pool-safe lubricant. Seat it evenly in the groove, reinstall the lid by hand and avoid cross-threading or over-tightening. On restart, check around the lid for drips or fumes and re-snug by hand if needed.
