One blue 8-inch MoFlow cover, its round mud frame and four #10 × 1-inch flat-head Phillips screws in 316 stainless steel. The standard 8MF part number does not include the separately configured sump or plumbing. See the manufacturer product cut-sheet (PDF) for the illustrated components.

The catalog’s 36-per-case notation is the manufacturer case-pack reference. The 8MF model identifies the cover-and-mud-frame assembly with its screws. Verify a separately ordered case quantity with ePoolSupply if you need a full case.

AquaStar’s replacement guide lists 8MF as an option for the standard 8-inch round group with a 7-inch center-to-center screw pattern, including the 8AV, 8CC, 8HP, 8AVWR, 8FUW, A8R, LP8AV and LP8AVWR families. This is conditional replacement guidance: verify the exact frame, sump depth, plumbing and adequate certified flow rating before ordering.

8MF uses the standard 7-inch center-to-center mounting pattern and includes a mud frame. R8MF is a separate retrofit configuration for specified off-standard frames with 7-13/32-inch, 6-inch or 4¾-inch mounting measurements and a different hardware kit. They are distinct products.

Use the exact SOFA configuration in AquaStar’s specification document, revised April 2, 2024, rather than a universal cover rating. For example, its floor table lists 90 GPM for the specified 1½-inch bottom-pipe arrangement with a 3-inch minimum pipe depth, and 200 GPM for the specified 4-inch bottom-pipe arrangement with a 10.6-inch minimum depth. Each row also depends on the complete sump flow-path geometry, pipe-size limits and installation conditions shown in that document. Never select a rating from pipe size alone; a qualified pool professional must confirm the full configuration.

This standard 8MF listing is the concrete cover-and-mud-frame configuration. AquaStar lists separate sump configurations and an 8MFSBV vinyl assembly. Do not assume a sump, vinyl clamping parts or additional plumbing is included with the standard 8MF item.

The current catalog identifies the family as certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 50 and ANSI/APSP/ICC-16 2017. AquaStar directs products manufactured after May 24, 2021 to the VGBA 2017 documents; older production uses its corresponding earlier documentation. Match the actual product markings, manufacturing generation and complete installation.

AquaStar’s IN021-062724 instructions require replacement of the cover assembly and fasteners within five years of installation. Service life starts when installed, with or without water. Replace damaged, brittle or otherwise unsuitable components earlier; missing, broken or cracked components must be replaced before bathers use the pool.

This is a blockable suction outlet fitting assembly. The instructions require a multiple-SOFA system for new pools and spas. Existing single-outlet installations also require an appropriate additional anti-entrapment device or system described in the manual. The cover alone does not establish a compliant system.

AquaStar’s 2026 catalog lists ProStar SCW002 for the 8MF family: four #10 × 1-inch flat-head Phillips screws. That replacement hardware kit is sold separately. Use only approved components and follow the cover’s service-life requirements.

AquaStar’s 2026 catalog states a general one-year limited warranty from original installation for defects in materials and workmanship, subject to the complete terms and exclusions. Color fading, improper installation, poor water chemistry and other listed causes are excluded; non-approved components may void coverage. Repair or replacement is at AquaStar’s option.
