Description

The Pentair 172855Z air vent strainer is a model-specific replacement part for select Pentair D.E. filter air relief assemblies. It is designed for FNS and Nautilus Plus filters and uses a 3/4" opening with stainless steel mesh construction. This is not a universal screen. If the original strainer is clogged, torn, or missing, replacing it with the correct Pentair part is the clean fix.

Pro Tip

Check the surrounding air relief parts before closing the filter back up. Replacing only the screen will not solve a damaged relief tube or worn air relief hardware elsewhere in the assembly.

Installation Tips

Shut the system down fully and relieve all filter pressure before service. Confirm the filter model and strainer opening size before ordering, and inspect the air relief area for scale, debris, or cracked components during reassembly.
