Description

The Pentair 076033Z plastic band clamp knob is a model-specific replacement part for older Pentair/Purex filter clamp assemblies. It is most clearly tied to SM and SMBW 4000 Series filters, with additional source references to Nautilus Plus and some post-1998 Purex applications. This is not a universal knob. When the original clamp knob is worn or broken, replacing it with the correct OEM part helps keep the clamp hardware matched and serviceable.

Pro Tip

Before tightening the clamp back down, inspect the clamp band, T-bolt, and tank seal. Replacing only the knob will not solve a distorted clamp assembly or a leaking tank O-ring.

Installation Tips

Shut the system down fully and relieve all pressure before opening the filter. Confirm the exact filter family before ordering, thread the knob on by hand first to avoid cross-threading, and tighten the clamp evenly during reassembly.
