The gear drive - small (2 pack) are replacement parts that are made by Hayward, making them genuine OEM products.

These gears were created to be a part of the drive system. Their purpose is to transfer the rotating power that comes from the turbine to the steering bracket roller, which ultimately turns the wheels and allows the cleaner to maneuver around the pool's surface as it cleans.

The gears are white and are much wider than the other gears used for the internal mechanisms of the cleaner. They also come with the metal shafts needed for installation along the lower body. We suggest checking the teeth on these gears as well as the other gears periodically as they can wear and deteriorate over time and use of the cleaner.
