The float, feed hose is a replacement part made by Polaris. The same high-quality materials were used to manufacture the original factory part. Making this a genuine OEM product.

The hose float was built for the cleaner's hose system that takes the water from the dedicated return line, which is powered by a booster pump and disperses the water into the cleaner. This gives it the power to suck and pull dirt and debris off your pool's surface. Without this float, the hose would fall to the depths of your pool. Ultimately weighing your cleaner down would cause impediments throughout the surface.

This float is white and is strategically placed throughout the length of the hose’s assembly to keep it above the water and from being tangled up. A great troubleshooting tip, if the hose continues to get tangled, is to first check the backup valve and whether it is operating correctly. If that’s not the issue then it may be due to the placement of the hose float. You can fix this by moving the float directly behind the backup valve which should resolve the issue.
