This product was designed to work with the clamp, ramp, cam assembly, and the O-ring created for the Pentair SuperFlo / SuperMax pool/spa pumps. Its purpose is to prevent water from escaping the pump as it operates. It also prevents air from leaking into the filtration system which can cause some issues with other parts of the equipment. Another cool feature this product offers is its makeup of see-through plastic material that allows you to check the debris basket and its contents without having to remove the lid.
