The TR140 is the largest model in the Triton II line, ideal for large residential and light commercial pools. Warranty: 3 years on tank, 1 year on parts (when installed by a professional).
Q: How much sand does the TR140 require? A: It holds 925 lbs of #20 silica sand, or a mix of 650 lbs sand + 275 lbs pea gravel.
Q: Does this come with a valve? A: No. Valves are sold separately. Compatible models include Pentair 261050 and 261055.

Description
The Pentair Triton II TR140 is designed for tough pool conditions. Its large-capacity fiberglass tank holds up against UV exposure, chemicals, and internal pressure thanks to GlasLok® bonding. With 7.06 sq. ft of filtration surface area and a 925 lb. sand load, it’s optimized for high-volume systems. The swing-away diffuser allows access to the media bed without removing the valve assembly. Threaded bulkheads and combo drains streamline setup and winterization. This filter is ideal for large residential and light commercial installations.
Pro Tip
Use a compatible Pentair 2" multiport valve (e.g. 261050 or 261055) and always install unions on both ports. Allow for minor pipe flex to reduce stress on the tank during temperature shifts.
