Waterway lists a 2-1/2-inch slide-valve assembly with two 2-inch reducers. Its installation guide specifies 2-1/2 × 2-inch socket reducers. The filter tank, D.E. media and other system equipment are separate; confirm any additional plumbing needed for the installation. Waterway lists 600-1500 as an option for Crystal Water D.E. filters 36 sq. ft. (570-0036-07), 48 sq. ft. (570-0048-07), 60 sq. ft. (570-0060-07). Match the complete filter model, valve and port arrangement before ordering. Waterway’s installation guide specifies CPVC for the valve body and supplied reducers. Follow the valve guide and the solvent manufacturer’s instructions when connecting the plumbing. For the D.E. arrangement covered by Waterway’s guide, the handle is down and locked for filtration, and up and locked for backwashing. Always turn off the pump before changing valve position.
