Caretaker 99 Cleaning System Cup Strainer (Stainless Steel)

Prevent debris from damaging your Caretaker 99 cleaning system with this easily replaceable cup strainer. Located directly on top of the upper housing conveniently inside the union ensuring a quick and easy replacement.

Improper installation and neglectful monitoring can cause small debris such as leaves, twigs, and pebbles to enter the gear assembly; eventually leading to a complete valve failure.

To guarantee a flawless cleaning cycle, check that the screen is "dome-side up" and make sure water can pass through the screen at least once a month. (Usually after backwashing and/or cleaning the filter)

 The cup strainer has been designed to help protect the water valve from debris should the pool filter fail. The strainer is located inside the 2-inch union on top of the Caretaker water valve and can be accessed in a matter of seconds. Replacing the strainer is quick and simple.
