THIS VALVE IS MEANT FOR GLUE-IN INSTALLATION, IT IS NOT FITTED WITH UNION THREADS
UNIONS ARE SOLD SEPARATELY
This valve is designed to open and relieve pressure when the Caretaker System is operating over 30 psi. The system relief valve brings added value to the Caretaker system by offering additional protection to the pool pump and filter should high pressure develop.
Usually, when this happens it means the cup strainer is clogged or the gear assembly needs replacing.
