Pentair EC-523317 IntelliConnect is a connected control system for a single pool body. It combines two on/off relays with supported equipment connections to manage up to five pool devices through the Pentair Pool app. Plan the connected equipment and circuit requirements before choosing the system.

Map the equipment to the available connections

The five-device capacity does not mean five separate high-voltage relays. Identify which equipment uses the two switched outputs and which uses dedicated control or communication connections. Check the exact pump, heater, lighting and chlorinator configuration against the installation guide.

Scheduling and sanitizer control

Set supported equipment schedules and review operating status through the app. With a compatible salt system, output adjustment changes chlorine production; it is not a measurement of free chlorine and does not replace water testing. Connected equipment must still meet its own flow and installation requirements.

Network and installation planning

Check Wi-Fi coverage at the equipment pad before final mounting. A qualified professional should plan the power supply, circuit protection, bonding, equipment wiring and flow-dependent interlocks. Use the guide for the supplied hardware revision and keep commissioning records for future service.

Using the current app

Pentair now identifies the app as Pentair Pool. Some linked manuals retain the earlier Pentair Home name. Follow current manufacturer pairing and firmware guidance when adding the controller or troubleshooting a lost connection.

Are there five on/off relays?

No. There are two on/off relays. The advertised device capacity also uses supported dedicated equipment connections.

Can it control any pump?

Check the exact pump and communication method in the guide. A compatible family name alone does not establish support for every production revision.

Does it include pumps, lights or a salt cell?

No. This listing is for the controller. Connected pool equipment and any required accessories are selected separately.

Does remote chlorinator control test the water?

No. Adjusting sanitizer output does not measure free chlorine or automatically balance all water parameters.
