Description

The Polaris B6 Black Complete Sweep Hose is the rear tail assembly used on Polaris Vac-Sweep 180, 280, 380 and 480 PRO cleaners. When the original tail hose gets stiff, cracked or shortened, the cleaner stops sweeping the walls, steps and corners and fine debris settles back to the floor. Dropping in this complete OEM B6 hose restores the sweeping action and allows the rear jet to do what it was designed to do: scrub surfaces and push dirt into the cleaner's path.

Because this is a factory Polaris part, the hose length, jet orientation and fittings are matched to the Vac-Sweep pressure cleaners, so you are not guessing on piece lengths or clamping together multiple sections. Remove the worn tail from the cleaner body, push the new B6 assembly into place, verify the flow at the tail jet, and send the cleaner back out.

Pro Tip

Install a fresh tail scrubber when you replace the B6 hose. If the hose is worn enough to need replacement, the scrubber is usually too smooth to be useful. After install, trim tail flow at the cleaner so the jet moves the hose without blasting water out of the pool.

Installation Tips

Shut off the pump and bleed pressure at the equipment before pulling the cleaner. Remove the cleaner from the pool, disconnect the old tail from the body and tail scrubber, and inspect for sharp edges before installing the new hose. Push the new B6 assembly fully into the cleaner body fitting, attach the scrubber end, and verify the sweep hose moves freely with no kinks. Once back in the pool, adjust the tail flow so the hose moves actively without spraying water out of the pool.
