The case kit for the backup valve is a replacement part made by Polaris. Making this a trusted OEM product.

This case kit is designed for the backup valve system and its purpose is to be the outer protective shell if you will, for the internal mechanism which is the operating system for the backup valve. This valve is supposed to come on every 2 ½ to 3 minutes to pull the cleaner out of any tight corners or trouble areas that could impede the cleaner from doing its duties.

This part is white and is located approximately 18 inches from the head of the cleaner making it easy to find and replace if damaged or worn. This case DOES NOT include the internal mechanism so if there is an issue with the cleaner floating near the surface then this more than likely is caused by the backup valve’s internal mechanism failing. You can confirm this by checking the valve run time which should only be about 30 seconds if longer than that, then the mechanism has failed and needs to be replaced.
