Description

The 1.5" Gray Self-Aligning Aussie Insider Eyeball uses the classic CMP insider pattern to create a low-profile return fitting that lives inside the pipe instead of a threaded wall body. The insider shape helps it track straight as you tap it into 1.5" PVC, forming a tight, long-lasting seal. Once installed, the 3/4" eye opening and included snap-in reducers let you choose how hard that return pushes water so you can improve skimming, break up dead zones, or soften flow near steps and benches. Installed into clean, square-cut pipe, this gray insider is a long-term solution for directional circulation in residential pools and spas.

Pro Tip

Before you commit, dry-fit the insider and confirm it starts straight in the pipe. When it is time to set it, use a rubber mallet and a protective block—never hit the eyeball directly. After circulation is up and running, aim the returns so the surface current sweeps debris toward the skimmer instead of straight out into the pool.

Installation Tips

Shut off the pump and relieve line pressure before opening any plumbing. Cut the pipe square and clean the inside diameter so the insider can seat fully. Start the fitting by hand, then tap it in with a rubber mallet and a block until it bottoms out—do not strike the eyeball itself.
