Description

The ARG CIV01 CleanPro Chlorinator Lid is built to replace worn or damaged tops on ARG CleanPro inline chlorinators. The lid takes the worst of the abuse—UV from the sun, pressure cycling and constant exposure to aggressive chlorinated air. With time that can mean warped plastic, stuck threads and weeping around the seal.

Swapping in a new lid restores a smooth sealing surface and clean threads so the chlorinator can close properly and open without a wrestling match every time you load tablets. A solid lid seal also helps keep internal pressure and flow where they belong, supporting consistent chlorination instead of random swings caused by a leaking top.

Pro Tip

Do not just muscle a stuck lid—if the top is warped or crazed, replace it along with the lid O-ring. Always depressurize the system and flush out trapped gas before opening a chlorinator. Install isolation valves ahead of the feeder so you can service the lid without draining half the pad.

Installation Tips

Turn off the pump and fully relieve pressure before opening any chlorinator. Use the existing valves to isolate the feeder and allow trapped gas to clear before removing the old lid. Inspect and replace the lid O-ring at the same time for best results. When installing the CIV01 lid, lubricate the O-ring with a compatible pool lube, start the threads by hand and avoid cross-threading. After startup, check around the lid for any signs of leaks or weeping and re-tighten by hand only—do not use tools to overtighten the lid.
