Pentair EC-520545 is the EasyTouch 8SC-IC40 eight-function control system for a pool and spa sharing equipment. This package includes IntelliChlor integration and an IC40 salt cell.

Coordinate equipment from one control system

Set operating schedules and manage connected circulation, lighting, heating and water features from the EasyTouch controls. Have the installer map each device to the appropriate circuit or communication connection. The eight-function designation does not mean that every piece of equipment uses the same kind of output.

Included salt chlorination

The included IC40 cell installs in the circulation plumbing; it is not housed inside the load center. It produces chlorine from dissolved salt and requires adequate flow, correct water balance and routine testing. Confirm chlorine-production capacity against pool volume and seasonal demand.

Installation and remote access

A qualified professional must plan load-center mounting, electrical circuits, sensors, control wiring and equipment compatibility. ScreenLogic2 is a separate option for remote access. Verify the required interface hardware and software before purchasing it as an add-on.

Pentair identifies EasyTouch as a discontinued product family. This listing remains the exact EC configuration shown above. For a new automation project or a replacement, confirm available stock, service components and the best fit for the existing equipment before installation.

Is this for a pool and spa?

Yes. This configuration supports shared-equipment pool-and-spa operation and includes two valve actuators.

Is a salt cell included?

Yes. This package includes the IntelliChlor IC40 cell and system integration. Follow the cell manual as well as the automation installation guide.

Can I control it from my phone?

Compatible ScreenLogic2 interface equipment is required separately. The base EasyTouch system does not include that interface merely because it supports it.

Does automation remove the need for water testing?

No. Scheduling equipment and controlling chlorinator output do not replace testing sanitizer, pH and overall water balance.

Can I install it without wiring the equipment?

No. The load center and controlled equipment require professional wiring and commissioning according to their manuals.
