Description

The Hayward YS10400TU is a high-capacity Y-strainer designed for systems that need reliable debris protection without sacrificing flow. The true-union threaded connections allow for easy maintenance and screen cleaning without dismantling long stretches of piping. Constructed with durable PVC, a tight FPM O-ring, and a standard 1/32″ perforated plastic screen, this strainer blocks solids while withstanding harsh pool, industrial, or commercial water conditions. It performs at up to 150 psi (non-shock) at ambient temperature, making it well-suited for demanding applications.

Pro Tip

Flush and clean the strainer screen whenever you notice a pressure drop or reduced flow. For finer filtration, keep a stainless steel screen alternative ready. Also, inspect and lubricate the O-ring seal during service to prevent leaks and ensure proper sealing each time the unit is opened.
