The lower middle body is a replacement part that was made by Hayward. The same high-quality materials were used to manufacture the original factory part. Making this a genuine OEM product. 

This lower body is like a chassis for most other pool cleaners on the market and its purpose is to hold the main internals of the Hayward cleaners in place while allowing them to operate without any disruption that could be detrimental to the cleaning process. It also helps hold the outer body covers (including the lower body) into place so that way they can help in the efforts of protecting all the internal parts.

This part is white to match the color scheme of the cleaner and also has an opening in the center. This way the turbine kit can be placed in the predetermined grooves on either side so it can move the pods back and forth which moves the cleaner along the surfaces of the pool. When installing these parts, we Do Not recommend using a drill as it can over-torque the screws and damage the plastic and or other surrounding parts.
