The gear reduction is an arrangement by which an input speed can be lowered for a required of slower output speed with the same or more output torque. This means the speed incoming motion created by the turbine is transmitted to this set of gears, where they change the motion or torque needed for the cleaner to operate and maneuver. 

These gears are white, and all come in the same shape and size (5-pack) and come equipped with the shaft that they all rest on, allowing them to operate effectively.
