Description

This Jandy AquaPure Ei flow switch provides the circulation signal needed by the chlorinator power pack. When adequate water movement is detected, the system can operate the salt cell. Replacing a failed switch can restore proper flow detection while retaining the existing sensor pod, power pack, and electrode assembly.

Confirm the existing AquaPure Ei model, sensor-pod configuration, original switch, and connector before ordering. Model and regional variations may use different flow-detection arrangements.

Installation Suggestion

1. Disconnect power to the AquaPure Ei power pack and turn off the circulation pump.
2. Close the necessary valves and release pressure from the pool equipment system.
3. Disconnect the existing flow-switch cable and unscrew the switch from the sensor pod.
4. Install the replacement with its arrow pointing in the direction of water flow and its body aligned with the pipe.
5. Reconnect the cable, reopen the valves, restore circulation, and check for leaks.
6. Restore power and verify that the system recognizes proper flow.

Follow the Jandy replacement instructions. Service should be performed by a qualified pool professional when required by local regulations.

Pro Tip

Before replacing the switch, clean the filter, verify pump prime, check valve positions, and clear the pump and skimmer baskets. While the system is depressurized, inspect the AquaPure Ei locking ring and electrode housing O-ring and replace worn components as needed.
