• Airflow Generation:
• The Fasco blower pulls fresh air and forces it through the heat exchanger.

• Maintaining Proper Pressure:
• The blower generates a vacuum pressure, which is sensed by the blower vacuum switch.
• If the vacuum pressure is too low, the heater will not ignite, preventing unsafe operation.
• Supporting Ignition & Combustion:
• Once the blower confirms adequate airflow, the control board allows the ignition system to fire the burners.
• The heated air transfers heat to the water circulating through the heater’s heat exchanger.
• Safety Mechanism:
• If the blower fails or airflow is restricted, the system shuts down to prevent overheating or improper combustion.
• The blower vacuum switch ensures that the heater will only ignite if the blower is operating correctly.
