The Hayward Aqua Rite system, with its GLX-PCB-AR-PRO control board, uses salt in the pool water to generate chlorine through electrolysis. 

• Salt Conversion: The PCB regulates electrical current to the salt cell, which splits the salt (sodium chloride) into chlorine and sodium hydroxide, sanitizing the pool water.
• Chlorine Output: The PCB adjusts chlorine production based on pool size, water temperature, and salt levels. It can increase or decrease current to the salt cell as needed.
• Monitoring & Diagnostics: The PCB monitors salt levels, water temperature, and the condition of the salt cell. If there’s an issue (e.g., low salt or cell failure), it displays error codes on the control panel.
• Safety Features: If the system detects problems like low salt or high temperature, it can shut down to protect the equipment.
