Rebuild Pentair 2-inch PVC slide valves 261047 and 261165 with a complete OEM O-ring kit. Restore sealing and smooth backwash operation.

Description

Restore reliable sealing without replacing the complete backwash valve. This genuine Pentair O-ring kit contains the primary seals used in compatible 2-inch PVC slide valve assemblies.

Replace all included O-rings during the same service for even sealing. Before reassembly, inspect the piston rod, valve body and seal grooves for scratches, cracks or mineral buildup that could prevent the new seals from seating correctly.

Installation Suggestion 

1. Turn off the circulation pump and completely relieve filter pressure.
2. Disassemble the slide valve according to the valve service instructions.
3. Remove the old seals and clean each O-ring groove without scratching it.
4. Apply a thin coating of pool-safe silicone lubricant, install the new seals and reassemble the valve.

Pro Tip

Do not install new O-rings over a scratched or bent piston rod. Replace a damaged piston assembly before reassembling the valve, then test for leaks at normal operating pressure.
