Replace the control board and matching keypad
Pentair 461105 is the control PCBA and membrane-pad replacement kit for MasterTemp and Max-E-Therm heaters. Pentair’s kit instructions identify the RS-485 control board and six-button membrane pad together, rather than a bare circuit board.
Matched controls
The replacement kit pairs the control board with the matching six-button membrane pad.
Generation-aware service
The five-button legacy keypad is a different part. Follow the kit’s wiring and setup requirements.
Check before ordering
Have a qualified technician match the heater model, installed ignition module, wiring and control generation to the kit instructions. Do not assume this kit alone supplies every component needed for an older heater’s full RS-485 conversion.
