The Pentair 072900 Complete Clamp Band is the correct replacement clamp assembly for Pentair SM and SMBW 4000 Series D.E. filters. This part is responsible for securing the tank sections together, so fit and condition matter. When the original clamp band is damaged or no longer clamping evenly, using the proper OEM Pentair replacement is the right fix instead of forcing a generic band onto the tank.

Pro Tip

Inspect the tank O-ring and sealing surfaces before reinstalling the clamp band. A new clamp will not solve sealing problems caused by a flattened O-ring or damaged tank flange.
