Bought one from another shop. Bought one July 2025, worked for 4 months and crapped out. The on-device screen washed (burned out) at 6 weeks but kept on chlorinating until it stopped at 4 months. I’d registered thru Pentair before having problems, but never got them to pick up the damn phone. Waited on hold 2 times for an hour each time. I’m done with Pentair. Been struggling all summer with just doing chlorine tabs until I found something different than Pentair, which is sad because I’ve had Pentair salt pools for MORE than 20 years and while I grew to dislike the old IC40s, I’d take one of them in a heartbeat. My new gen chlorinator is out of warranty now and junk to me. I know they’re supposed to have replaceable components, which is why I bought one in the first place, but I’m retired and can’t throw good money after bad. And no it isn’t/wasn’t needing cleaning; I know how to do that and when it failed, I had already cleaned properly 2 times. Just letting you know, IMHO, they’re junk and I had such high hopes for the new technology. Got a well-reviewed newcomer on the salt market being delivered tomorrow. Like I said, I couldn’t even get anyone at Pentair to pick up the phone.
