Pentair EC-520556 is the PC100 power center for compatible IntelliChlor salt cells. It converts incoming AC power into the low-voltage DC supply used by the cell. This listing is for the power center; a salt cell is purchased separately.

Choose the correct companion equipment

Use this power center when a compatible salt cell needs a separate power supply. Compare the existing installation before ordering: some automation configurations already provide chlorinator power. The IC15 aboveground package uses its own external supply and should be checked against its separate manual.

How the system works

The power center supplies electricity; chlorine production occurs inside the connected cell. Salt, flow and temperature sensing are cell functions. Choosing this enclosure does not by itself determine pool capacity or daily chlorine output—those depend on the selected cell.

Installation planning

A qualified professional should verify the supply voltage, mounting location, grounding, bonding and connection to the circulation controls. Pentair requires the chlorinator to receive power only when the filter pump is operating. Keep the manual available for electrical troubleshooting and fuse identification.

Is the salt cell included?

No. Select a compatible salt cell separately. The IC20, IC40 and IC60 provide different chlorine-production capacities.

Does the power center test chlorine levels?

No. It supplies power to the chlorinator. Continue normal sanitizer and water-balance testing.

Does it require an automation system?

It can be installed with properly coordinated pump controls or a compatible automation system. Have the installer select the arrangement described in Pentair’s guide.

Will this fix every salt-system warning?

No. A warning may involve flow, salt, water temperature, the cell or its power supply. Diagnose the specific condition using the applicable manual before replacing components.
