Product FAQs

Is the salt cell included?

Yes. This exact legacy bundle includes an IntelliChlor Plus40 cell and salt-chlorine-generator transformer.

Which valve actuators are included?

Two Compool valve actuators.

Does this mean valve bodies are included?

The manufacturer table identifies valve actuators, not separate plumbing valve bodies. Do not assume valve bodies are supplied.

Is a current replacement SKU the same package?

No automatic equivalence should be assumed. Pentair’s 2026 consolidation changes system configurations; confirm the supplied salt cell, relays and actuators for the exact SKU.

What warranty applies?

Coverage depends on the exact item, purchase channel and installation. Review Pentair’s current warranty terms; do not assume a dealer-installed bundle warranty applies to an online purchase.

Description

PENTAIR · 523966

IntelliCenter i8PS Load Center & IntelliChlor Plus40 Bundle

Pentair 523966 combines an IntelliCenter i8PS load center and personality kit with an IntelliChlor Plus40 salt cell. This is the documented legacy bundle configuration, including the salt-chlorine-generator transformer and high-powered wireless.

Cell and transformer included

The bundle contains the Plus40 cell and the supporting salt transformer; it is not a salt-ready enclosure without a cell.

Valve-actuator configuration

Includes two Compool valve actuators.

Match the equipment layout

Pool/spa shared-equipment personality.

Check fit before ordering

Match the full part number and valve-actuator type. Later 2026 IntelliCenter replacement SKUs are not automatically component-equivalent: verify salt-cell inclusion and relay configuration separately. Have a qualified professional verify the installed equipment, electrical supply and pump interlock. Follow the complete manufacturer instructions; never operate a salt cell without water flow.
