Pentair Kreepy Krauly SandShark Hose Weight (K12454)

The hose weight is a replacement part that was made by Pentair. The same high-quality materials were used to manufacture the original factory part. Making this a genuine OEM product.

This part was designed to be exactly what it is named, a weight. The SandShark is light, unlike other suction cleaners Pentair produces like the Warrior or the Rebel. This weight helps by keeping the cleaner and hose on the bottom of the surface as opposed to floating up to the top of the water where the angle of the cleaner would now cause it to be ineffective.

This hose weight is blue, and you want to add it 1” or a foot from the head of the cleaner, and depending on how deep your pool is a second may need to be added a foot or 1” from the first weight on pools deeper than 6 ft. This ensures both the cleaner and hose aren’t too heavy and do not sink to the bottom of the pool or become tangled up as the SandShark operates.
