The Pentair 59019500 Tie Rod is designed for vertical grid D.E. filters operating at a 44 GPM rating. This 1/4-inch diameter rod measures 18 inches in length and serves as the central support that holds the internal grid set together, securing both the top manifold and bottom spreader in place.

Proper tension from the tie rod helps maintain grid alignment and ensures even water distribution during filtration cycles.
