Product FAQs

Does Skimbot have a battery?

Yes. Solar panels charge an internal lithium iron phosphate battery. No power cord, hose or electrical outlet is needed for operation.

Will it work in shade or after dark?

Stored solar energy can support evening operation. Shade, cloud cover and battery charge affect running time; continuous overnight operation is not guaranteed.

Does it clean the pool floor and walls?

It collects floating surface debris. Continue using the appropriate cleaner and filtration equipment for the rest of your pool.

Can we swim while Skimbot is in the pool?

No. Remove it before anyone swims or dives. Do not push it underwater.

How do I clean it?

Switch it off, empty and gently rinse the tray, and wipe the panels and sensors with a soft damp cloth. Avoid pressure washing. Follow the owner’s manual.

Where are setup and troubleshooting instructions?

The owner’s manual covers startup, charging, maintenance and troubleshooting, including low charge, blocked paddles and dirty sensors. English troubleshooting is on printed page 7. Use the Resources & PDF Downloads links.

What warranty applies?

Polaris lists a one-year limited warranty for solar and battery-powered robotic surface cleaners. Coverage has exclusions; labor, transport and wear items are not covered. Keep proof of purchase and review the official terms.

Description

POLARIS SKIMBOT · FSKIMBOT

Let sunlight handle surface skimming.

The Polaris Skimbot FSKIMBOT is a solar robotic pool skimmer that collects floating debris before it sinks. Press the power button and place it on the water for surface cleaning without hoses or a power cord.

Solar-powered skimming

Sunlight supplies energy for collecting leaves, insects, and other floating debris.

Steers around obstacles

Front sensors help the cleaner change direction as it approaches walls and obstructions.

Easy debris removal

A viewing window lets you check the tray; slide it out to empty and rinse.

Before you choose Skimbot

Polaris lists FSKIMBOT for in-ground pools. It needs sunlight to replenish its rechargeable battery, so shaded pools may limit operation. Remove the cleaner before swimming and never submerge it.

See Specifications for product details, Resources & PDF Downloads for the owner’s manual and brochure, and Product FAQs for care, charging, and warranty answers.
