The weighted spur is a replacement part made by Zodiac. The same high-grade plastic material was used to manufacture the original factory part. Making this a genuine OEM product.

This part was designed to not only be an adapter for the outer extension pipe but also designed to act as a weight for the cleaner to hold it down onto the pool's surface. Without this weight, the cleaner would float to the top of your pool water making the cleaner ineffective.

This weighted spur is Blue and has a ring with an opening atop which is meant to slide onto the top of the body. Also, this part helps connect the outer extension pipe as well as the wheel deflector to the body. These parts when combined aid in the fight against dirt, debris, and other forms of mulch off your pool's surface.
