For the Jandy/Caretaker bayonet-style concrete-pool in-floor system with a 2-inch collar. Match the installed collar and riser; this is not a pre-1992 threaded-head assembly. Color selects the finish; it does not establish the required nozzle size or flow. The separately listed matching head-only replacement is 4-9-536, which does not include this assembly’s collar and protective cap.

Includes a factory-installed High Flow nozzle. Follow the approved Jandy In-Floor Certified Pool Design for the assigned nozzle and cleaning-head location. General family descriptions do not change the exact package listed for this SKU.

The manufacturer installation manual specifies 2-inch Class 200 or 2½-inch Schedule 40 risers and calls for a reamer when a 2-inch Schedule 40 stub-up is used. Nominal collar size is not an overall head measurement. Verify the actual pipe type and fitting before installation.

Shut off the pump and prevent restart before removing a head. The bayonet head must be fully down. Use the correct removal tool, such as 3-17-7 or 3-17-8, and turn counterclockwise to release it; reinstall and lock it according to the manufacturer instructions. Pre-1992 threaded heads use a different procedure. Inspect the head, nozzle and collar for debris and arrange professional winterization where freezing is possible.

Jandy’s separate In-Floor warranty covers eligible cleaning heads for the life of the original pool only when originally installed with Jandy In-Floor cleaning valves, for the first retail purchaser. That conditional head coverage is not an unconditional lifetime warranty for the collar, cap, floor fitting or a purchased replacement part. The statement otherwise provides one year for manufacturing defects and 90 days for purchased replacement parts. Coverage requires the approved certified pool design, qualified installation and other manufacturer conditions; it applies in the 50 United States and Canada and excludes shipping and labor. Property transfer or remodeling ends coverage as described in the warranty.
