One metal cleaning-head removal/vinyl installation tool with pole adapter, as listed by the manufacturer. Pool pole, cleaning head and collar are separate.

For the matched Jandy/Caretaker cleaning-head installation and maintenance application. Identify the actual bayonet or legacy threaded connection before use. The separately listed plastic tool is 3-17-8. This head tool is not the TC3 ThreadCare cap tool 4-17-4.

With the pump stopped and prevented from restarting, the owner’s manual shows the matched bayonet head fully down: attach the tool to the pool pole, engage the head, turn counterclockwise about ¼ turn and lift. Reinstall the head fully in its collar and turn clockwise about ¼ turn to lock. Lift straight up to release the tool. This bayonet procedure must not be transferred to a pre-1992 threaded head; verify that connection’s specific procedure.

Jandy’s separate In-Floor limited warranty states one year for manufacturing defects and 90 days for purchased replacement parts, subject to its certified-design, qualified-installation, original-purchaser/site and other terms. The conditional lifetime provision applies to eligible original cleaning heads installed with Jandy In-Floor valves; it does not automatically give this purchased accessory, fitting, nozzle or gasket lifetime coverage. Coverage is for the 50 United States and Canada; shipping and labor are excluded. Property transfer or remodeling ends coverage as described in the statement.
