4-17-4: ThreadCare construction-cap tool for the TC3 pool/spa return.

One ThreadCare tool. TC3 return fitting, protective cap and return plumbing are separate.

The current manufacturer TC3 product page and TL-1317 D instructions identify this tool for the ThreadCare protective construction cap. It must not be described as a generic pre-1992 threaded cleaning-head removal tool. Match the actual TC3 return fitting.

Separately listed TC3 return colors are 3-3-110, 3-3-112, 3-3-113, 3-3-114, 3-3-115. The tool is separate from each return-jet fitting.

After the final finish is troweled, the TC3 instructions specify turning the protective cap clockwise with this tool or needle-nose pliers until the cap separates or breaks off. This TC3 cap procedure is different from an in-floor cleaning-head removal procedure. The TC3 installation must be performed by a contractor licensed and qualified where required.
