The UWF restrictor disks are replacement parts made by Polaris. It is made from the same high-quality material used for the original factory part. Making it a genuine OEM product.

These parts were designed to be for the universal wall fitting. It takes the water that comes from the booster pump and pushes it through and into the cleaner, giving it the power to operate. These disks were built to restrict flow from the pump when the pressure is too high and overpowering the pool cleaner. They also may not be required in every situation so check the owner's manual for instructions.

These restrictor disks are blue and red making it easy to identify and locate. One great troubleshooting tip to figure out whether or not your system requires the help from these disks is to test the flow or pressure. You can do this by placing a mark with an ink pen on one of the wheels on the double wheel side. Hold the cleaner underwater with the booster pump operating, and the wall strainer or filter cleaned out. Timing with a watch, count the number of wheel revolutions, for 30 seconds, then multiply by 2. The proper range is 28-32 revolutions per minute.
