This is a genuine Zodiac Side A direction control device, built to the same spec as the original gear module that ships in MX8 and MX6 cleaners. It is the correct choice when the cleaner loses its ability to turn, reverse, or cover the pool evenly. Pairing it with a new Side B device and fresh tracks is the closest thing to a full steering rebuild without buying a new cleaner.
